Barbara's vacation unit is part of a secluded farmhouse in the green hills outside Florence. It offers a tranquil atmosphere and stunning views of the countryside, but at the same time is close to Florence making it a convenient base to tour the city, especially if you have a rented car. The apartment is beautifully decorated and contains all that is necessary for a comfortable vacation – an effective heating system, modern kitchen appliances, unlimited hot water and comfortable beds and furniture. There are also several bicycles for those who wish to ride the countryside trails. Barbara was there to greet us and willingly provided any information we needed regarding where to shop for food, the best ways to enter Florence, and about local hiking trails. We will definitely return to Barbara’s farm house next time we are visiting the area.

Barbara ist ein toller Gastgeber. Es können großzügig alle Bereiche genutzt werden. Sie tut alles um den Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich zu machen ohne aufdringlich zu sein. In einem kleinen separaten Frühstücksbereich stehen Espressomaschine und Kuchen oder Plätzchen jederzeit zur Verfügung, morgens sogar frische Eier von den eigenen Hühnern. Alles ist sehr liebevoll und mit viel Geschmack gestaltet und eingerichtet. Die Lage des Anwesens ist auch hervorragend. Man ist mitten in der Landschaft mit tollem Ausblick und kann trotzdem Florenz oder Fiesole mit dem Auto oder einer Kombination von Auto und öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln schnell erreichen. Unbedingt empfehlenswert.

Our experience at Barbara's beautiful country house was perfect. From the moment I booked the place Barbara was very responsive and helpful with giving us directions when we'd be arriving late in the night. She also organised a lovely cooking course with Stefano which I'd highly recommend - interesting, fun and informative. The house was beautiful - 3 bedrooms and bathrooms. And the pool and hammocks are amazing with a stunning view over the Tuscan hills. Couldn't recommend more highly.

This was our first family holiday to Italy and we all loved our stay at the farmhouse. It is a beautiful place to stay, so idyllic and it was so nice having the animals around the gardens. Barbara could not have made us feel more welcome and her advice on the local area was great and made each day more special. We really enjoyed our cooking class with Stefano Bellini, which was both informative and fun and the meal afterwards was made extremely special by Barbara's efforts to set up a beautiful table outside for us. We also appreciated that much of the produce we cooked with came directly from Barbara's garden. Would recommend the farmhouse to anyone looking for a beautiful and relaxing holiday, with easy access to Florence city centre and local town Fiesole and a homely and peaceful place to come back and relax in. We hope to come back soon!!

Barbara er en fantastisk B&B værtinde. Hun er generøs og udviser stor indlevelse og omsorg for sine gæster på en venlig og meget behagelig måde. Det er dejligt at være gæst i hendes hus. Barbara sørger for lækker hjemmelavet morgenmad til sine gæster og forkæler dem med friske æg fra egne høns og hjemmelavet yoghurt. Agriturismo Podere il Palagio ligger smukt og roligt i bakkerne nord for Firenze (Fiesole) men med let adgang til byen samt indkøb og restauranter i lokalområdet. Familieværelset er rummeligt og hyggeligt indrettet. Der er god opbevaringsplads, så man kan lægge sine ting på plads. Badeværelset er velfungerende. Omgivelserne er meget smukke, udendørsarealerne i haven og på terrasserne er gode og møbleret smagfuldt. Poolen er lille men god til at køle af i på varme dage. Og det er hyggeligt, at der er kanin, høns og geder på gården. Det fælles køkken er velindrettet og giver en fin mulighed for self catering på dage, hvor man ikke ønsker at spise ude.

What a wonderfull place! It's a little paradise. Very nice and clean room, big garden with a lot of relax places (in the sun or in the shadow), the swimming pool was perfect for a cooling down! And the view is great! And last but not least; barbara is very friendly!!! We had a wonderfull stay at your place, thanks a lot! We hope to see you again sometime :) Wat een prachtige plek! Een aanrader voor iedereen die de drukte van Florence wil ontduiken. Het huis is erg mooi en een heerlijke plek om bij te komen. Wij hopen hier zeker nog eens terug te komen.

La maison de Barbara est magnifique exactement comme décrite dans les photos. L'intérieur est très spacieux, tant dans la pièce à vivre que dans les chambres. Nous sommes partis en famille avec nos trois enfants et Barbara a tout fait pour nous rendre le séjour le plus agréable possible. Nous avons profité de superbes légumes de son jardin, de ses délicieuses confitures, et d'autres mets qu'elle confectionne avec amour. Florence est à deux pas et grâce aux conseils très avisés de Barbara nous avons découvert d'autres très beaux lieux de Toscane à visiter mais aussi où nous régaler. Bref d'excellentes vacances, et Barbara y est pour beaucoup!

Das war eine sehr schöne Ferienwoche. Ganz genau wie man sich Ferien auf dem Land vorstellt. Morgens kräht der Hahn und abends sitzt man beim Wein und schaut runter ins Tal wo die Lichter von Florenz zu sehen sind. Die Zikaden zirpen und wenn man Erfrischung braucht, springt man nochmal in den kleinen sauberen Pool. Ansonsten kann man in den reichlich vorhandenen Hängematten und Liegestühlen faulenzen oder lesen. Die Räume sind perfekt und die Betten waren ausgezeichnet, so auch das zu jedem Zimmer gehörende Bad. Die Küche haben wir jeden Tag genutzt. Sechs und ein halb Leute wollten verpflegt sein.

Great place, very relaxing, beautiful views. Barbara was an amazing host and helped us with finding the grocery store, local hikes and taking the bus into Firenze (along with much more). Perfect for families with smaller children. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

A beautiful place and a beautiful house! Barbara was extremely friendly and helpful and gave us a lot of tips how to spend our time in Tuskany. The breakfast is lovely and the rooms are provided with little details that make your stay comfortable and make you feel like home. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a home away from home!
